On October 25th Martha Stewart visited The Brooklyn Flea for a tour of the delightful foods, crafts and of course, Antiques...
We were there and our merchandise was filmed for the show, along with our wonderful children.


Brooklyn is the forefront for all things progressive in the U.S. today.
Wonderful organic foods, handsewn crafts, and such grace the curated Brooklyn Flea. It is an honor to be one of the few antique dealers there.

Let's see if we end up on the show, scheduled to air Nov 1o.

Thanks to all for coming out these past two weekends. Lake Forest, Wilmette, and South Barrington were wonderful.

80's POP ART

With fashion week 2009 in the bag, is there any coincedence with the bad economy in the early to mid 80's and the Pop Art influence of today? Great bright colors, bold lines, funky ? WE need this color in our lives this year especially to look to some spark some brightness in this recession.
Treat yourself or your home, no matter how small to some bright vivid color. Pretty flowers in a vase, a thrift store painting, an antique pottery vase, or even some Depression Glass. Looking at some bright green or pink clear dishes make the rice and beans look better.
